Ann McEntee and the Friends of Human Relations were joined by supporters on April 26, 2019 at our eighth annual Jim McEntee Scholarship Fundraiser and Celebration. Guests heard from two of our outstanding scholarship recipient graduates, Diana Cuevas, UCSC 2016, and Zainab Yusuf, SJSU 2018. Special guest speaker was Morgan Hill Unified School District (MHUSD) trustee Adam Escoto. Adam is a strong supporter of the McEntee Scholarship program and spent 27 years in public education. He is also a well-known advocate for children and youth, especially Latino youth and foster youth.
Guests enjoyed appetizers and desserts provided by Casa Vicky restaurant, music by Elaine Ryan, talented vocalist, composer, and Acoustic guitarist, and a preview of the very best of contemporary Latino art from MACLA’s 21st Annual Auction on display in the gallery.
