The Friends of Human Relations of Santa Clara County is a nonprofit organization founded in 1985 by Jim McEntee.  (The Jim McEntee Legacy Committee is now completely incorporated into The Friends of Human Relations.)  The mission of  Friends today is to continue Jim’s vision and spirit in the community.  The Friends board currently oversees the Jim McEntee Legacy Art Project, raises funds for the McEntee Legacy College Scholarship Awards, and serves as the fiscal agent for the County’s Office of Human Relations and the Institute for Nonviolence.

2017 Scholarship Fundraiser

Ann McEntee and the Friends of Human Relations were joined by supporters on April 21, 2017 at our sixth annual Jim McEntee Scholarship Fundraiser and Celebration. Special guest speakers included Father Jon Pedigo, Chair, Interfaith Council on Economics and Justice and Assemblymember Ash Kaira, District 27. Guests enjoyed appetizers and desserts provided by Casa Vicky, music by Brian Ho, well known jazz organist in the Bay Area, and a preview of the very best of contemporary Latino art from MACLA's 19th Annual Auction on display in the gallery.
